Playing with Fire

After careful consideration from all members of my group, we decided to not go forward with using the footage from the crime scene day as we didn’t have the correct type of footage that we would have needed to pursue the type of show that we wanted to film. Having figured this out, we needed a new idea, and luckily there is a lecturer on the theatre course who practices ‘eating’ fire. Today we completed our filming of her act, which took place outside the university building. There were four of us filming, sharing three cameras. I was filming on my iPhone using my Osmo Mobile gimbal, while Mike, Ryan and Andrew shared the DSLR cameras with the uni gimbal and stabiliser.

This included taking frequent breaks to wipe off any water on the equipment and also changing the positions in which we were standing to be more sheltered.
